Finding True Happiness

Happiness means different things to different people. Because of that, I can’t make you a magical list of things that will truly make you happy. But that won’t stop me from trying (that’s how much I love you).

Long-term happiness (not just things that will only give you momentary happiness) comes from deep inside. True happiness incorporates your values and your deep, personal goals. Let’s try to bring some of those out by trying some of the things on this list:

  1. Be generous: give your time and your effort to others.
  2. Be grateful: show your gratitude through your actions and don’t forget to say “thank you.”
  3. Stay busy: do constructive things that you enjoy in your spare time.
  4. Think positive: don’t let yourself get disappointed by things, turn bad events into learning experiences, and forgive & forget.
  5. Be yourself: allowing your true personality to show will give you a sense of freedom that is unparalleled.
