Side Hustles You Can Do During Covid-19 While You Are at Home

Even before the pandemic, a lot of us were looking at different ways to start a side hustle. I wanted to share some info that I had on the topic, as well as a few ideas to help you start your own hustle for a few extra bucks.

1. Freelance Work

For some people freelance is their day job: 40 hours a week, every week. For others, freelance is a great way to supplement an income, whether it is within their professional expertise, college major, or a hobby they have been experience in. There are plenty of great websites out there for you to use your skills. You can even dabble in small projects if you want to test out your skills in different aspects of your fields of expertise.

2. Etsy

If you’re a creative that loves to create physical crafts, Etsy is the place to go. Whether you like to sew, knit, woodwork, craft metal, blow glass, make digital art, stickers, or one-of-a-kind masterpieces of any type, Etsy is a perfect place to start. This is a great site for people who like to dabble in different types of art as well.

3. YouTube

As of late, YouTubers have been making quite a big splash in the social media community. If you have a specialty and like to be in front of the camera, try starting a YouTube channel. That being said, it might take a little bit of time to get big enough for you to monetize. However, if you enjoy what you do and you can find a good work/home/YouTube balance, it can be quite fulfilling.

4. Brainstorm Something New!

If you have an idea, run with it! Just because you don’t see something in the mainstream, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pursue it. you don’t want to follow any of the other side-hustles you have seen, why not do a little brainstorming:

  • What are you an expert in?
  • What do you enjoy doing?
  • How much time do you have for a side-hustle?
