Music is an integral part of so many people’s lives. Music is all around us, whether we play it, listen to it to relax, or get ourselves pumped up. Just listening to it can bring forth so many different emotions.
For example, in movies, the score or soundtracks often heighten the emotional pull in each scene. Action scenes have fast-paced, heart-stopping music. Sad scenes will have somber music (normally composed with strings).
To Get Pumped For Working Out
Listening to music when I need to do a physical activity (whether it’s cleaning, going to the gym, or running errands) makes me feel excited to do the actual activity. Especially if I don’t like the activity. It makes the activity more fun. I love making playlists with songs I can sing along to.
To Focus When You’re Studying
There are plenty of studies which conclude that studying is enhanced by listening to classical music. This is because classical music can raise the level of dopamine in your brain. So not only will it help you focus, you’ll also feel better while you are studying.
Some of you might be saying, “But I don’t need to study anymore because I’m no longer in school.” To that, I’d say that learning is a lifelong journey. We’re always learning. You might not need to study for tests, but you might still need to study certain things:

You don’t have to only listen to music to get inspired or benefit from it. You can also make your own music. Learning how to play a musical instrument can inspire us in many different ways.
